Euthanasia between Mercy and Crime

It will be really one of the most difficult and effective moments for everyone when they see dearest person to them fighting for his life , and the only things which keeps them alive are  tubes and ventilator. Also , what will make their hearts sink is when the doctor says " there is no hope of recovery " " what about euthanasia " . In this situation what will you do ? Are you going to agree on euthanasia or not ? For me I won't choose euthanasia because it is unacceptable for many reasons.

First , euthanasia is considered as a crime and there is nothing justifies it . Not only it is a crime but also , the criminal get away with his crime . Furthermore , doctors who commit this offense once they become a monster then it will be a second nature to them .

In addition , if every patient with Fatal disease felt depression and decided to end their life that will stop the medical advances. Because  if they died , no one will be remain for medical experiments and that will affect the other patient. Moreover , the duty of doctors is to urge patient to cling to their life not to lose it . Also , the only one who has the right to take someone's life is god and doctors are not allowed to play the god roll .

On the other hand , the opponents believe that euthanasia is a personal freedom which , everyone has the right to decide his own destiny whether he want to live or not . Also , they think that doctors will have more time to focus on patients who have more chance to be healed. Finally they believe that euthanasia should not considered as a crime because it could be the only way to end someone's suffering.

In conclusion , as I mentioned before euthanasia is a crime and any doctors commits it should be punished because I believe that god is the only one who has the right to decide whether we should live or die and doctors are not allowed to play that roll .

Crime and Punishment

Crime is an act against the law and orders which cause harm and damage to communities. The concept of crime is different from community to another. For instance, in Saudi Arabia drinking alcohol considered to be a crime regardless of age while in America it is not unless the person is under the legal age. However, in spite of the differences in the definitions of the crime, there are still some similarities in classifications of crimes. Crimes were classified into two different assortments according to its seriousness and nature.

The seriousness of crime includes felony, misdemeanor and violation. However, felony is a very dangerous crime such as, murder and armed robbery. Usually law punishes anyone commits it with either execution or at least 10 years in prison. Next, misdemeanor is a dangerous crime such as mugging and burglary yet, it less dangerous than felony. In this kind of crime, a person who commits it will be punished with at most 3 years in prison or pay a fine. Finally, violation is the least dangerous type. The punishment for this crime is 1 to 10 days in prison or a small fine. The best example for this kind of crime are pickpocket and shoplifting.

On the other hand, crime according to its nature includes political crimes and economic crimes. Both crimes are dangerous. The first destabilizes security inside countries such as, espionage and assassination therefore, law punishes people who commit it with either execution or life in prison. The second inflicts damages to both public and private money such as, vandalism, arson and embezzlement. Thus people who commit it will be punished with at least 3 years in prison or pay fine depends on how much they had damaged.

All in all these crimes threat and destabilize security inside communities. Therefore, we need more strict laws and orders in order to reduce crimes.

Unforgettable Day

The night before my flight to Chicago I could not sleep.I was laying on my bed and thinking deeply about traveling alone, for the first time without my family.Part of me was excited while the other was nervous and sad.I was thinking really hard when the calling for the dawn prayer interrupted me.However,I got off from my bed then,I went to perform the prayer. After I had finished my prayer,I wore my cloths.Next,I gave my brother a hand with his luggage.Later, we left our house at 9:45 a.m and drove to the airport.

At that time the weather was very sunny, hot and humid ,it was around 42°C even though we were in the medal of fall. That really made me felt as though, I was inside an oven.Furthermore, what made me felt even worse was that I had worn heavy purple raincoat and long boots. However,we arrived to the airport after 40 minutes. The minutes following the arrival were the hardest in my whole life.I was overwhelmed with my emotion and so did my parents. We were all in tears but, I managed to get myself together. Then,we had waited for a while in the airport. After that we flew to London.

In the night before the flight I could not sleep therefore,I made up for it on the plane. After 7 hours of flying we arrived to London. My cousin, brother and I were supposed to stay for 3 hours yet,the time flew very fast, and we flew to Chicago after a short time.

I could not sleep during the flight because I was extremely thrilled since,it was my first time in Chicago. When there was only 30 minutes left,I opened the screen in front of me in order to check the weather in the Chicago.I could not believe my eyes when I had seen what was written on the screen. The screen showed that it was -7°C in Chicago which I found unbelievable because, we do not have that weather in Saudi Arabia. However,we arrived after 30 minutes. My first shock was O'hare airport it was a big disappointment as, it was very normal and tedious.I thought Chicago's airport would be better than that. After we had finished all the procedures, we left the airport. As soon as, I stepped out the air port, I got my second shock that ,the weather was worse than I had imagined. In spite of wearing heavy raincoat , gloves and long boots,I could not feel my limbs.I had been told about  the weather in Chicago but, I did not imagine it would be like that. At that moment I knew that everything I had brought was useless thus,I cried a lot.

While I was crying ,I thought about resigning from the scholarship and going back to my country.I felt that I could not take it any more and I thought I would die. However, when the taxi arrived after 15 minutes of torment,I hardly managed to get myself together and calm down. Finally, after we had arrived to our apartment,I went to my room and slept hopefully I could forget that nightmare.

Culture and Women's Right in Saudi Arabia

Education awareness and economic renaissance have contribute to change some of our culture in Saudi Arabia which , I think is really good and important especially for women . Nowadays, there is openness to the world in Saudi Arabia which has led to involved women in many field. In past women were not allowed to practice some of their rights because of culture and traditions. In addition, the Saudi's community was preferred  women to stay at home and take care of children. Also, some family in Saudi Arabia prohibited woman from education but some of them they allowed her to study until high school. furthermore, it was a cultural thing that woman married from someone who has been chosen from their parents. However every thing has changed now and women have their all rights due to the development in our country. Today, women are permit to chose their spouse, vote in elections and continue their educations. At the end , I wish our community would became more open-minded however, I would rather it stick to their religion and some of their culture and tradition in order to preserve their identity .

Diet Changes in Saudi Arabia

'' Honey don't forget to take your insulin'' , '' we need to schedule an appointment with the dentist Ali's tooth is killing him again''. These phrases become part of the daily conversation in Saudi Arabia . Nowadays , it is really hard to find a Saudi family whose individuals do not suffer from diabetes , high blood pressure , heart diseases or obesity. The reason behind this is changes in food habit . According to a study the effect of media and economic renaissance are the main reason for changes in eating habit in our country.

Changing in Saudi Arabia's economy has played an effective role in changing diets in the country . After the economic renaissance in our country , individual's income has risen resulting in dependency and welfare which lead to bad diets . Nowadays , Saudies depend on maids , baby-sitter and transportation which has reduce their physical movement and increase their probability of infection by different diseases . In addition , the become more openable to the world and they start changing their tradition and culture as a result their eating habits have changed . Furthermore , the economic renaissance led to cultural awareness resulting in the average of tourism has risen . Today there is sort of culture melting in Saudi Arabia due to tourism . However , this culture melting has caused a huge variation in our food.

Moreover , media has contributed to this change in our food. They use fascinating commercial and posters to attract and grip consumers to unhealthy food. Also , they use attractive phrases to fascinate consumers. However, in my point of view , the best solution to reduce the risks of this problem is to increase the health awareness in school.
